Epitome
Really?
It would seem our desperation has gotten so intense that we’re driven to get our needs met by a restaurant marketing gimmick.
What drives this desperation? The lack of time? The absence of organization? The scarcity of conversation?
Perhaps in our quest to be first, to be right and to be charitable not as a purposeful expression of belief, but as a clever marketing strategy, we’ve lost sight with the idea of patience.
A friend of mine recently shared his exploration of the word “patience.” He uncovered hundreds of definitions, many of which would have any of us avoid it (nice work Wikipedia). But he did find one that worked for him…
“Waiting with happiness.”
No needs required to be met. Just a simple practice of appreciation and creation in the moment.
Stop trying so hard to win your race to nowhere. Instead, discover who and what shows up inside of patience.
